Good luck

Not sure what your system looks like, however don't forget to start your sparge water at least 30 min before sparging

So brew day went quite well.
I screwed up a little on the mash, set the mash and boil to 152 after i had doed in, temperature then started to drop low, went as low as 148, i adjusted temp to 154 and the thing shot right up to 165, so stirred the crap out of mash and then got back around 154 for remainder of mash.

Sparged with around 3 gallon of water to get me up to 6.5 gallon.

Boil was really good and held for the full hour at 214.

Ended with around65% efficency according to brewsmith, my og should have been 1.067, I got 1.064, I put this down to first ever all grain, maybe need to mash longer than 1 hour or sparge a little better.

But at the end of the day i am making beer.

Now wheres that homebrew.:tank:

Loved the Mash and boil and the clean up was just soooo easy.

Just one thing i forgot to ask, I checked the ph of the mash after i had sparged, I let it cool to around 70 degrees f . Is this correct or do you check the ph at the same temps as the wort in the kettle.
Thanks
