Just wantes to make a quick post... finakmy got my Brewzilla G4. Managed to get an all grain kit - a brown ale made by a local supplier who isnt in business now. Had a couple hiccups but the wort smells right. Pitched yeast this am - so excited. Thanks for all the advice and support to this group leading up to it. Invaluable resource!

So how did it taste? I remember feeling very proud of myself after tasting my first AG since it was a success. I trust yours was as well.
Fantastic! Slightly more bitter than I wanted, I made a mistake and boosted the temp to 165 when the recipie called for 154. Still interesting to taste the result. I have half of it left still, everyone who tried it was impressed (of course knowing it's a first kick at the can). I can't do that one again because it was a kit that's no longer available. Just looking at recipies, I want some brown ales and pilsners... trying to learn how to adopt local grown malt and hops to existing recipies. So much fun to be had. Best part is Im in a cold region right now, and my garage is 4c. I can lager without temp control until about April or May!

After a few more batches you’ll be confident enough to try decoction mashing if you’re up for an adventure!
I will definitly do that, I believe my brewzilla g4 is programmable for it. The only downside is grain is had to get here, I have a 2.5 hr drive or shipping, which is expensive in Canada. But I've on the prairies and there's some malters around that I can buy in nulk 50kg or so bags... so I just need to dial in some recipies!
