Finished my first one last night

Alright finished my first brew last night. It was weird in once sense not as hard as I expected, but just has me thinking if I did everything right. I am making the Edme Red Ale kit. Put it in my primary last night around 1130pm as of right I see very slight bubble action in the airlock. So hopefully it picks up later. In my airlock i just used water in that ok cause I was reading were some people use vodka or there sanitizing solution. Anyways thanks for all the help from everyone on here and now I am officially a noob.

You should really use something that won't invite bacteria in your airlock. I use star san but you can use cheap vodka or any other high proof liquor, either way water is probably not your best choice.
