After a year of efficiencies consistently in the low 60s, I redesigned my MLT manifold. The old one drew from one side and also left about about a gallon of dead space. I redesigned it to sit flatter on the bottom and draw from the middle. I just brewed my first batch with it and got 83% on a double batch sparge. :ban:

The only problem is, now my hefe that was supposed to start at 1052 is starting at 1069. That's going to be one tough hefe. :drunk:

Heh, it's not me I'm worried about. I've had beer commando training.

It's the poor amateurs I may serve it to that I have to worry about. Think about it, a nice, light-tasting, wheat beer that the women love. Now add to the mix that it's 7.5% ABV.

The next BBQ is going to be fun.

I have an out of state nephew coming over tonight. He said he would like to try about a six pack of homebrew. I have 9 different batches to sample and all are high ABV.
