Sorry for another gravity-related question, but here's my dilemma / question:
I'm making a double IPA that was in primary 14 days and has been in secondary for 10 days. OG was 1.084 and the current reading is 1.020.
I know that beer is typically finished fermenting when your readings stop fluctuating. But is it best to take those last few readings back to back days or should you stagger it out over a few days?
Like, can readings really fluctuate that much in 24 hours? Or should I take my next one on, say, Wednesday?
Sorry, difficult to express my question in writing....just don't wanna take any chances and want to be 100% sure it's finished fermenting before I cold crash, etc.
Thanks for any help!
