Already forgot the article but re FFF, it sounds like 12oz. 6-packs of Gumballhead and 16oz. 4-packs of Alpha King. These are getting canned out of an old Whole Foods distribution warehouse nearby (with no tours, no taproom, no retail sales).

Just a canning line in there or a brewhouse too?

Off Color's beer for Uppers and Downers is called "The Bus From Speed" so we no longer need to name beers because they just won the contest forever.

What's the draw for great small breweries to continue supporting and working with the most disingenuous person in Chicago beer? Does Kiser and GoodBeerHunting have some secret allure those of us not contributing to the panhandling fervent few don't see?

Bought a six pack of Fierce at a suburban liquor store that opened 6 months ago. First bottle tasted funny and for some reason I couldn't find the bottled date on the necks. Second bottle was worse. Tip the six pack over to see the old dating system. May 26, 2015. Awesome.

I sent a message to the OC twitter account and they got back to me within 10 minutes for the store info. They offered an exchange at Mousetrap but I'm not going to drive down there for an six pack exchange for my dumb mistake. I've bought old stuff from that store previously and should know better but I was in a jam and needed a six pack at midnight. It's not on you guys.

Batch 1 Fierce isn't holding up if you're curious.

Visiting Chicago for first time June 8 - 12. Too lazy to search.

Any good vegetarian spots?

What beer spots besides Goose Island?

Staying downtown or in a neighborhood? Might influence answer on restaurants.

jtmartino and I did Half Acre/Bad Apple/Dovetail on one trip and Hop Leaf on another.

brystmar and I did Forbidden Root and Links Taproom.

Recommend Rev and Off Color too.

For food downtown: Bad hunter, Ema (or Aba), Pacific Standard Time, and Little Beet Table come to mind. Lots of neighborhood options too if you get out of downtown

For breweries: Revolution, Maplewood, Half Acre, Old Irving
Beer bars: local option, fischmans, green lady, Beermiscuous

Bad Hunter is still closed. Breweries Off Color (obviously :D), Dovetail, Middlebrow for beers, natty wines, sexy pizza time and tin fish, Half Acre Balmoral, Spiteful, Marz and Rev's Kedzie taproom.

Food, I'm going to suggest Daisie's, Longman & Eagle, Fat Rice, Lula's, The Publican and so on and so forth...

I was at au cheval last week and I thought Bad Hunter was open but I was also pretty ripped and not especially paying attention. Hopefully they’ll be reopened by the time RyanG is in town

Really hard to have a bad night with a dinner at Chicago Diner (great vegan) then walking 50 feet to Revolution. or play arcade games at Emporium.

For dessert I suggest swinging by Paulie Gee's just down the block for Pie Pie My Darling's vegan cakes/cupcakes. Paulie Gee's has solid wood-fired pizzas too.

Breweries; Half Acre, Dovetail, Metropolitan, Maplewood, Revolution, Marz

Food; Doves Luncheonette, Parsons Chicken & Fish, Pequods, Fat Rice, Publican

Cruz Blanca and Half Acre balmoral for both

Honestly as long as you don't need crazy ticks, Jewel and many Walgreens selection these days is more than adequate.

for sure. there's a Festival grocery about 5 minutes from my house with more than enough beer.. stupid thing just closes the liquor department down at 9.
