I accidentally started in a glass carboy in some ambient/direct light for the first day and a half. Will my ale be skunked or is it gonna be okay now that I have it in the dark?

Direct UV can cause problems during fermentation. Reflected light, maybe not. I have never been in this situation. All as I can say is let the fermentation finish. Keep your fermentation temperature under control. The taste of your first hydrometer sample in 2 to 3 weeks will give you the best idea of how it will finish after bottle conditioning. Post your result.

More than likely it will be skunked due to the direct exposure to uv light, but you also need to remember that direct sunlight will cause a pretty good temp rise which can create some undesirable off flavors in addition to the "skunky" flavor/aroma.
