I have a 14 gallon never been used conical fermenter that i would love to sell but cannot find a buyer, it has me wondering if a conical can be used to ferment/ bulk age wine? I am not a winemaker but id like to put it to use, is temp control as important for wine as it is for beer? Cause i dont have ability to temp control it

Conicals are fine for wine. I don't think I'd use that for wine, though. 14 gallons is a LOT of wine, and if you only did a few gallons, there would be too much headspace. Wine yeasts have a better tolerance than most beer yeasts. I ferment mine in the low 70's. Lalvin says their wine yeast is ok up to 86, but I'd question that high.

I should correct myself its 14 gallon but meant for 10 gallon batches, thanks
