Hi,
im fermenting an ipa with 1056 and im using a swamp cooler with ice to keep it cool.

what temperature range should i aim for? I dont want any esters.

The temperature tag indicates 61, but i believe inside it is about 4 or 5 degrees over Right?

Thank you very much.

WY1056 is best at 65° to 68°F. To cool will give you a peach flavor in lightly hopped beers.
Thermo strips are usually within 1° of the beer temp.

There is no reason to raise the temperature. A fermentation kept at the optimum temperature, and sufficient time in the primary, will finish without any adjustments.

edit: I will usually primary for three weeks. Dry hopping will add up to an extra week.
