since its been cold outside, my basement is sitting in the low 60's and its making my brew sit around 63 degrees.

fermentation seems to be stalling.

for example. i left my apfelwein in there for a while, and after 2 months it was still 1020.

should i bring my brews upstairs where the living room is around 70 after a week or 2 in the basement?

Worth a try. I ferment most of my ales in the low 60s but as the activity starts winding down I'll warm them up to 67-70 to help them finish out. I've only made 25 batches or so but so far I haven't had anything fail to reach FG, maybe I'm just lucky but I think it helps.

I've never fermented apfelwein that low so can't really comment on that.
