This is my first allgrain that is fermenting... and now I am having a very interesting fermentation. There is a very different colored layer in my fermentor... is this normal for all grain?
Hard to tell from the photo but I would guess that it is cold break proteins settling out of suspension. Looks like good krausen. I would wager a beer that you are fine.
I think I figured out what it actually is... its sanitizer that was sucked up from the blow off hose. Im not sure if this is salvageable or not... any clues?
