Last Christmas my wife gave me a 26G ss conical fermenter as a gift. From the very first day I had in mind to build a fermentation chamber for it. Here, northern Italy, temperature goes low in winter and high in summer. Perfect!

The place where I should brew is a garage, fully devoted to this insane hobby. I have seen many builds, I've chosen to start a fully diy experience/nightmare.

Here is almost winter, so the first needs is for heating. Usual heating cable(s) will be used. As for the cooling I'm thinking to adapt a fridge compressor, but I'll take care of that in next spring.

The build is complete at 80%, still to finish the insulation inside/outside and to manage some details, but the hard part is already past! :mug:

For the temperature monitoring and control I have the STC1000, bought last year. Easy choice.
I'd like to do something more, using the raspberry PI, with or without the Arduino, following what others have already done:

Still not sure which one to follow, I have to better understand the RPI itself, I'd like to make something tailored to my needs.

Now, time for the images

More updates soon...

cheers
