is it possible to ferment a beer to fast or to use to much yeast or will it all drop out i used a wyeast activator smack pack made it into a starter and pitched it and also pitched a 2nd type of yeast directly from a smack pack? was this a bad idea?

Well you probably wasted a pack of yeast. The starter should have done it for you.

A brew that ferments out too fast won't gain the proper flavour profile that it could, although it will still taste good.

Patrick my dear, I don't want to sound harsh but punctuation and capitalization is our friend. It makes it much easier to answer questions when we know where they begin and end. :)
