Doesn't Gemuetlichkeit mean fellowship/group of people having a good time?
It means cosiness or comfort, referring to a stress-free place or environment that makes a person feel relaxed and "at home".

Here's to the Army and the Navy,
And the battles they have won.
Here's to America's colors,
The colors that never run.

my two favorites:

I've finally found the perfect girl
I couldn't ask for more
She's deaf and dumb and oversexed
and owns a liquor store
-Dean Martin

Here's to the girls who are dumb:
a dumb girl is a dope
dope is a drug
doctors prescribe drugs to relieve pain
so a dumb broad is just what the doctor ordered!

Slight variation to this one:

Here's the to the women, in high healed shoes
They steal your money, and drink you're booze
They ain't got a cherry, but thats no sin
They still got the box the cherry came in

Yuri mentioned my favorite one - toasting to 'Honor' (On Her)

My other fav is a variation of one that seems to have many variations already put up here, but here's mine:

Here's to the women we love.
Here's to the women who love us.
Here's to the women we love, who don't love us -
(bleep) them ho's - this one's for us!

You guys came by to have some fun.
You'll come and stay all night, I fear.
But I know how to make you run.
I'll serve you all BMC beer. :mug:

SWMBO and I always just clink our glasses together. One day our son, he was maybe 4 at the time, said "I know what you're doing when you do that - you're measuring!"

I like this thread.....

Anyways, here's mine. I use various parts of it, or all of it depending on how long I can hold everyones attention.

Here's to women that we've met,
and to women that we've fvcked,
and to those of us with no such luck.
Here's to whiskey in the glass,
and to vodka in the cup,
and poking her in the a$$ so she can't get knocked up.
Here's to you,
Here's to me,
and if we ever disagree,
bless you here's to me.

My friends and I usually toast with Qapla! It's Klingon. Literal translation: "success!" Did I mention my friends and I are all giant geeks?

Dont know if it has been posted yet, but here is a toast I like to give on special occasions. Usually its at dinners with friends, or said quietly where only the person beside me can hear. It usually gets a laugh, except for the time I said it as the prayer for Thanksgiving.

"Here's to the bull who roams the woods, he does those cows and heafers good. If it wasn't for his long long rod, what would we do for beef by god?"
