Okay, I was getting ready to do a Fat Tire clone, we just got New Belgian beers in N.C. and I really like them. Yesterday I had the opportunity to have a Fat Tire from a fresh keg and WOW! I was really blown away with the hops! Very nice aroma and flavor!

My AHS clone calls for:

bittering: 1 oz. Northern Brewer 60
flavor:2/3 oz. Willamette 15
aroma: 1/3 oz. Willamette 5

is this really going to be close to the real thing? or do I need to dry hop too?

Thanks....

I used the AHS kit as the base for mine, and I didnt dry hop & it tastes great. A house beer here.

Agreed. SD just got New Belgium beers today and I planned on doing a side-by-side test. Sadly, work got in the way, and I won't be able to until at least this weekend.

However, the AHS clone is awesome. Simply... awesome.
