I'm interested in getting a fast fermenter conical and I'm in the early stages of designing a ferm chamber to hold it. I see that the actual unit is 37" when in the stand so I was thinking that a chamber with 42" of height inside would be enough. Has anyone built a chamber for one of these? I'm also considering using a mini refrigerator door in place of building my own, but then I'd have to tilt the vessel to get it through the opening.

Anyway, if anyone else has built one for one of these, got any tips?

Sorry, nothing from me. I have the FastFerment conical, but it is wall mounted in my basement that stays around 66-68 degrees year round.

Just out of curiosity, does the height you mentioned in the stand, does that account for the air lock too? I have not bothered with the stand they sell b/c there is very little space to work with to remove the collection ball. I am going to work with my father in-law to build a custom stand this summer that provides more clearance. For I may use my garage as an area to cold crash my beers in the winter once we have designed and built the custom stand.

I'm planning on building a chamber for mine using a small refrigerator, but haven't had the time to get to it yet. I planned on a height of 50" just to make sure. When I finally get around to building it, I'll post on the forum.
