I'm kicking myself for having benched Kevan Barlow this weekend. He just hadn't been producing too much this year, so I sat him down and tried something else.

Then, the son-of-a-***** decides to wake up and have a banner day.

I missed out on 9 points because of this.

edit: I've got my DEF, K, and one WR left in the game tonight.... and I'm losing by 37 points. I'm hoping the Panther's are demons on the turf tonight.

I kinda hope he gets it but I doubt it, not if Williams is playing too. Winning this game isn't going to get me any homebrew!

Tell me about it. I bench Cotcherty and put Furrey in instead because Furrey is playing SF and they kinda suck. Welll... Furrey doesn't do squat and Cotcherty gets 9 pts.

And then Clinton Portis breaks his hand! And Frank Gore has a concussion...

There go the playoffs for the Puppies... ;) :cross:

Who's D'Bricks again that I'm playing this week? We have an interesting matchup hinging on tonight. You got Delhomme and I got Smith. You're up by one at 53-52. TD's are a wash; I need yards to Smith and no other WR. Grrr, I'm going to lose again I suspect and the streak continues. Smith needs to get back on Special Teams!!

Thanks Marvin for the 1 pt yesterday.

I was looking at our match up this morning DB. I think i'll take a couple of TD to Meshawn and just use Smith as a decoy. At least I don't have to be embarassed like I was last week. Had a big lead over the splitters and then Oakland got sacked out of existance to beat me. Hell I started Mike Bell over Washington for the Jets since he had over 100 yds last week and was playing Oakland this week. Then the SOB din't even get a touch this week.

Wow. I was just looking at the standings. What a logjam for 3rd and 4th place!

Potentially we have two playoff spots up for bids for 11 teams, with 4 weeks left.

Some of us need miracles, but I've seen stranger things happen!!!!!

I already got 1 decoy on my roster named Reggie Bush. He did "finally" get me a rushing touchdown this week though. Yipee. It's coming down to the pups and the gnat's for the can's of Old Style.

It's almost impossible for Smith to get more points than Delhomme unless Delhomme throws a ton of picks or Smith scores on a reverse or something like that. I think the 1 point lead is safe.

It's tough, but far from impossible. If Smith accounts for most of the passing yardage, plus Delhomme tosses a couple picks, you could see Smith score more points. If Smith gets 100 yards receiving, that's five points, but if Delhomme only tosses for 200 total that's only four points. One or two picks, and there you go.

The key is that Delhomme can't throw TD passes to anyone OTHER than Smith.

ok, then I change my comment from "almost impossible" to "highly improbable".

Which reminds me...

We saw a commerical for a new action flick coming up, and it made me think...

At what point will they finally realize that it is NOT "Mission: Impossible," and change the name of the movies to "Mission: Really Friggin' Difficult"?

Yep. I need a bad day from Delhomme and a good day from Smith. Or a trick play RB touchdown pass or a quadruple reverse to Smith performed twice and I'm in!

But a 3-7 record looks to be the Stone Cold Lead Pipe Lock for this week.

Time for an avatar change. Gnats like beer too you know.

I have not yet started watching the game (it's on Tivo), but here are the current scores. I've still got a long way to go.....

All right, new Sunday and time to bring this thread back to the top. I am not going to be so bold as to say my Jets are going to kick the Bears asses but I am hoping for a competative game. I think if we can play smart and not turn the ball over we have a chance. was hoping we could get them in a overlook game since we come between the Giants and the Pats but our win last week may have made them take notice of us.:D

As a Bear fan, I'm a bit nervous about the Jets game. I'm not hoping for a competitive game - the blowouts are much more enjoyable; however, I'm expecting a VERY good game.

Yea, not many rookies come out looking very stellar at QB. They ended up switching off to New Orleans game down here that was so ugly.

I was watching the game with my buddy who is a Pats fan. Uncomfortable :(. He did just get a new 60" HD tv though. Very nice!

Anyone got a score update?
