i have two kegs now in the kegerator. they fit on the diagonal and one is in the front and one the back. the one in the back is always colder than the one in the front. if i try to turn the temp down the one in the back gets ice in the post.

will putting a small computer fan in there solve the problem.?

thanks

I expect a "stirring" fan would help to minimize cold spots if you can find a suitable location for it. All of my fridges and keezer have fans for that purpose...

Cheers!

whats a stirring fan?

edit: never mind google to the rescue

lol! Sorry, jargon 🤷‍♂️
I use 80, 120 and 200mm fans - all of them were scavenged from some chunk of PC or other e-equipment. It doesn't take much to even out the temperature inside a box...

Cheers!

I had a similar experience with mine & got a small fan on Amazon. It works great to even out temps. It is small enough that I can still get two corny kegs in.

Those small fans don't use much power and do help a lot. I connected mine to a temp controller. As noted Amazon has many sizes to pick if you can't source one from a junk computer.

Another simple addition is Damp Rid to remove excess moisture. Down at the local home improvement store you can find it. Mine is a cup deal with a slotted basket. You'll need to empty it occasionally of the moisture pulled from the air.

I have a minifridge kegerator I converted middle of this summer that I use with a tower cooler fan set up, but realized the temperature between the two kegs varied. I ended up getting a 30x140mm fan computer that I mounted on the ceiling to blow downward and circulate the air. The tower cooler fan is controlled by a wifi controller(turns it off from 10pm to 8am) and the circ fan runs constantly. Now my kegerator cycles a lot less and the beer is a stable 38F with minimal noise

I use 12v PC fans in my kegerator and fermentation fridge. I turn down the speed with a voltage regulator so they're silent, and move just enough air to circulate. Before the fan my kegerator had an 8-10º stratification difference at times. Now the top and bottom are within 1º.
