I harvested yeast from a bottle of rogue and stepped it up 4 times.

I pitched it to a 1.040 session brown ale it didn't start to show signs of fermentation until this morning. I brewed it on Sunday.

I wonder what this thing is going to taste like?

Did you have a decent amount of slurry after you stepped it up?

Were the starters really active? I would not have pitched unless the steps were showing good signs of activity.

It was a 2L starter but even though didn't look like enough. I was trying to get away with it due to the low gravity of the wort.

It's got a bit of krauzen on top now (Carboy).

If anything it looks like a giant starter really.
