Hey guys,
I just got a 1 gallon Black IPA Extract kit from Northern Brewer.
It came with both Fizzy Drops and priming sugar.
I hadn't encountered both in a recipe before.

The kits instructions say to add the 5oz priming sugar to wort at flameout and also to add the drops to the bottles.

However, I plan to force carb the 1 gallon.

Obviously the drops are out of the equation.
But what about the sugar?
Should I omit it or add it in as instructed (5oz at flameout prior to fermenting)

What would I be in for either way?
Flavor/Style impact ? Extra foam or exploding the keg, etc.

Thanks!

The sugar at flameout isn't for priming... It's to up the ABV without adding flavor or body... The yeast will eat all that long before bottling... The drops are for bottle priming.

How are you force carbing a 1 galllon batch? Carb cap on 2 liter bottlers?

Thanks @jtratcliff . That makes sense.

The instructions were not clear at all on that intended use in the recipe.
The kit labeled it as “Priming Sugar”, which im now understanding is likely a repurposed prepackaged ingredient here.

I’ve been force carbing 1gal batches in GrowlerWerks uKeg 128.
