Two weeks ago I brewed the graff in the recipes section. I split the batch with 4 gallon us-05 and 1 lavin 1116. I had an extra gallon of Jewel (a regional Chicago area grocery chain) brand apple juice so I decided to split the two 64oz bottles and add a little yeast of each and ferment the plain juice dry as an experiment to compare. When I bottled yesterday night I recapped the two 64oz bottles and tossed them in the fridge. Today for some strange reason I just happened to open the fridge and catch the words "CONCENTRATE OF CHINA" on the fermented apple juice bottle. Seriously...? This is what it has come to? I get it. Im a cheap American just like everybody but this just seems crazy...

I'm with you...I try to buy as much of "Made in America" as I can but it's tough when it seems EVERYTHING is made in China or Taiwan etc etc. Hopefully I will never buy Cascade that is Made in China.

This is getting freaking nuts, you can hardly find anything that is made here in the USA, not only are companies moving over seas, they are being forced to give up 50% of the companies while China helps pay for or national Debt.
China is demanding that U.S. companies wrap parts of their worldwide operations into new joint venture companies in which Chinese interests own 50 percent, as a condition of doing business with China, as a requirement if the U.S. government expected China to continue buying U.S. debt; not to mention how much stock China is buying up here in the USA..do you want to guess who lifted the block on this?
Sorry for the political crap, but we might as well tell it like it is...
