Espresso in porter ratio

Hi all,

Next week-end I'll do a batch of Jamil's Chocolate Hazelnut Porter. But I intend to split the batch at bottling time (half with the addition of hazelnut extract and the other with espresso coffee to do a Chocolate Espresso Porter).

Is there a ratio Espresso/Beer you guys would recommend?

I added 10-12 ounces of strong cold brewed coffee to 5 gallons of Irish Stout. It is terrific and has a good hint of coffee, but not overpowering. I probably wouldn't go more than 4-8 ounces in a half batch. There are a few posts here from folks that added too much. Start conservative and then you can kick it up in your next batch. Amazing how just a little coffee can have real presence swimming in 5 gallons of beer.
