I finally have all I need to brew this now, but figured I'd post it anyway.

MoreBeer now has Maris Otter in liquid extract which enables me to make this a more British beer, though I went off script by using Victory and Special Roast as I greatly love the biscuitty flavor in Foster's Premium Ale.

I know there really shouldn't be an aroma addition, but I couldn't help myself...

This is my 5 gal partial mash/partial boil recipe:

5 lbs M.O. LME (FO)
2 lb M.O.
1 lb British crystal 50/60
1 lb Victory
1/2 lb soft white wheat berries (head retention)
1/2 lb carapils
1/4 lb Special Roast
1.5 oz EKG (5.7%) @ 70/21 mins
1 oz EKG @ 7 mins
S-04

50 IBU's

As is common with me I changed my recipe after having bought all of my ingredients…

I didn't like that my hop schedule was so atypical. So I increased the volume a bit so that I could move the hops toward bittering. Glad I keep a bit of DME on hand! Wish it were a M.O. extract though...

Now I'm using 2 oz @ 70 mins, 1.5 oz @ 21 mins, and 0.5 oz @ 7 mins for 48 IBU's in a 5.75 gal batch.
