Enthusiastic new brewer from Stratford ON

Hello folks - my name's Tim, and I have yet to do my first batch of beer.

I'm surrounded by some very experienced home and craft brewers, including a successful microbrewer... and I've caught the bug! I am spending the next few weeks buying/borrowing/begging some equipment and am determined to jump right in.

I was hesitant to jump into the deep end - all-grain right away, and some more exotic ingredients. My friends have reassured me they will walk me through it and catch my mistakes.

So here I am! I'm thankful to have a huge community of experienced brewers.

Hey Tim, welcome from another Southern Ontario resident! I started AG with a kit I got for Christmas 2 years ago, I'm so glad I started that way! What microbrewery does your friend own?

Thanks for the warm welcome all! It's great to be here.

Aaron - the brewery is called Black Swan - right here in Stratford.

I'm currently hobbling together a brew kit from used and makeshift materials, and should be ready to start my first brew after Christmas. I posted in the Beginner section a recipe that I'm working on.... lots of great advice here.
