While i have no doubt of the soothing nature of a squawking peacock - I myself would like to put in a vote for the over looked, and misunderstood, pelican. What a wonderful creature it would be in this role. Dignified, funny looking, a great fan of good sea food, and a spare carry on bag they could not charge you for! All bonus!
