I used an online calculator and it showed my efficiency to be 62.2%
Is this bad? Should it have been higher?
10# Two row pale
1/4# carapils
1/4# begian Biscuit

My temp was 150 for an hour my sparge water was 165
It took about 45 minutes to collect all the liquid

what was your og? i get 1.073 @ 100 percent so @ 62.2 youd be @ 1.045...

thats 10x35+.25x30+.25x30/5=73 (1.073)
then 73x.622=45 (1.045)

American IPA.....I went with my own hop bill so who knows how it will turn out.....
1oz chinook 60min (pellet)
1/2oz cascade for 45 (pellet)
1/2 cascade for 30 (Pellet)
1/2 cascade for 15 (pellet)
1oz cascade flame out (Pellet)
I was considering 1oz cascade for dry hop.

that will work...dry hopping might be overkill though, with an og of 1.060 thats kind of on the low side for an ipa, and an ounce of cascade at flame out will already give you a decent hop nose. But then again you can never be too hoppy in my book...cheers
