From his FB posts it seems that's the case. I don't know if anyone knows for sure. So things didn't work out in Chicago? Anyone know the details? Creative differences?

A lot of guys seem to back out the last week every year, if you still plan on going, you may be able to get a spare ticket of a guy who cancelled last minute.

The problem is that you then have to make your arrangements last-minute.

Yep, but I only bring it up to let him know he can still plan on going if he was okay with last minute plans since almost 5 or so on average tickets seem to pop up the last week of the event almost every year. Maybe plan on going that friday just to pick up futures and get lucky if an extra ticket pops up.
