It's a real pain to open my brew fridge and remove the fermenter to take gravity readings as the fermenter is a VERY tight fit inside the fridge and there's a whole bunch of stuff in front of the fridge that I have to move away.
Is there any decent cheaper alternative to the Tilt hydrometer? I've also looked at the Plaato which is a bit pricey and it won't fit in my fridge as it will make it too tall. I don't need near 100% accuracy but I'd like to have an indication of when fermentation has finished.
