Why is it every time I post on a thread, every subsequent post on that thread gets e-mailed to me?

can change that in your user CP (top left of your screen)

thank you, just unsubscribed to a whole bunch of threads. but how did I subscribe to begin with? I wasn't aware I subscribed to anything, I just post

Change you email to gmail. You can't fill that up.

You don't have to unsubscribe to the threads, all you really need to do is just change the email options in your user's CP.
