I've read a lot about wort chilles in theese forums, to figure wich to buy.

I helped a lot.

Finally i made my decision and got my B-36-30. I used i to day for the first time, with great succes.

170 liter wort at 97 C was cooled to 19,7 C in 18 minutes, using 270 liters of water. (I forgot to measure the city water temp, but usualy it's around 10 - 11 C)

I operated it standing tall, with (pumped) wort in/water out at the top, and wort out/water in at the bottom.

Great product. All the best recommandations.

My gear:
210 Liter Hermes setup, with 3 55 gal stainless steel drums
3 * 5500 watt heat elements in each vessel (2 camco + 7 SS from brewhardware)
2 pumps, one 3 phase centrifugal pump with VFD and one single phase
All tri-clamped in 1.5" pipes/valves from Brewers Harware, incl. the trub-filter.
Homemade control system in Siemens LOGO! plc ( Not automated yet)

5 SS 200 lites fermentors, presureable to 1.5 bar. with external cooling coil + 5 cm insulation.
older beerline cooler acts as glycol chiller, controled from the Siemens Logo.

That is one seriously massive brew for such a small plate chiller. Not sure how that's possible. Would love to know more. Nice work.

I use a 20 plate Duda diesel for my 21 litre batches. It takes me 9 minutes to cool to < 20c from boiling.
Edit: I reread re super cold city water. Nice!
