For my second brew, I am doing an all simcoe IPA. It is the kit from Midwest Supplies. It already contains 3 oz. of simcoe. I am wanting to dry hop it with an additional 1 to 2 ounces of simcoe. Will 2 ounces of Simcoe be too much? I'm just worried about the "catty-ness" that is associated with Simcoe or does it take way more than 5 oz. of simcoe to get that effect?

Thanks in advance

Wes

depends on the malt balance. post the recipe and people can chime in. if say, your og is up at 70 or 80, that amount of simcoe probably won't be enough for what you are looking for. but at lower gravities it might be perfect. btw, i love simcoe for my ipas.
