Dry-hop in Keg question

Say I have these items here laying about. Could I in essence use the brass fitting as a weight for dry hopping in a keg thats ready to be served?

You don't really need the weight. If you do use a weight I've seen people use sanitized marbles or something stainless steel, like washers or nuts. Otherwise you can sanitize a tie wrap & tie it to the dip tube (providing you haven't racked the beer into the keg yet).
