Tasting Notes
Bright citrus nose, more hop flavor than hop bitterness, slight biscuit on finish
After missing my numbers by a few points, my IPA vision became a IIPA dream! Probably one of my best beers too date.

I made the mistake of kegging this beer on Graduation weekend...and the 5 gallons didn't last the weekend. I will be brewing this again in a week.

FERMENTABLES

6 lbs. extra light DME
2 lbs. 2 row
1.5 lbs. flaked wheat
.75 victory

HOPS

1 oz. centennial (9.3 aau) @ FWH
1 oz amarillo (7 aau) @ 20
.5 oz amarillo (7 aau) @ 5
1 oz centennial (9.3 aau) @ 5

1.5 oz centennial
&
1 oz amarillo @ 170 degree whirlpool for 30 min.

2 oz citra @ dry hop (7 days)

*my first time using this yeast, and I'm in love!


It's not a crazy IIPA, but at 7.5% it meets the "official" criteria for a double, and has that smoothness that makes IIPA's so dangerous. Brew and enjoy!
