Just brewed this today, color not as dark as say a Salvator type doppelbock... more in the Maibock/Hellesbock sort of range... very simply, malty beer, low bitterness, a little hop presence in the finish... you could do decoctions, but with a good Munich it works great with a simple infusion.
8.5# 2 Row
8.5# Munich 7
mash @156 for 45 minutes
2oz Tettnager 60 minutes (4.8aa, 24 IBU)
1oz Tettnanger 5 minutes

Gonna be hard waiting on this one, but come spring it will pay off!
