DIY Mash Tun using grill burner

has anyone tried using a stainless steel grill burner in their mash tun instead of fabricating a manifold?

I expect the holes are too few and too small to make that useful as a MLT manifold "out of the box". Widen the existing holes and add a sh!tload more of them and you could be in business...

With what you have there I would go with slots cut in. You would break every 3/32" bit in the store before you drilled enough holes. Stainless in a tough one. Good luck
