Diaphragm Valves--Instead of or in addition to Butterfly Valves?

Any tips? Just picked some up. Wondering if I should use them instead of or in addition to butterfly valves. Since they are full I did that today for a yeast dump--sure worked nice. Just wondering if I'll regret not having the butterfly valve?

I like using both at the same time. A BV upstream of diaphragm allows for a quick shutoff.
