My apologies to any pre-existing threads. I am not good at searching the forums, and when i entered the above title, found many porters, and some other deschutes clones, but not exactly what i was looking for.

Anyway, was wondering if anyone could suggest an AG recipe for a black butte porter clone. Or tips on how to search the forums better.

cheers

I'd be interested in this one as well. I really like that beer. It seemed the yeast flavor really stood out to me in that one.

10.58 lb 2 Row pale
1.39 lb Wheat Malt
.7 lb Crystal 80
.42 lb American Chocolate Malt
.42 lb British Chocolate Malt
.42 lb Carapils

17 g Galena 13% @ 90
7 g Cascade 5.75% @ 30
7 g Tettnang 4.5% @ 5

WLP002 or Wyeast 1968

Dough in at 130 for 10 minutes, then raise to 156 for an hour.
Ferment at 64-65 F.

Planning on doing this one myself sometime soon.

Target OG: 1.058
Target FG: 1.016

I think that's about it.

Its worth it to listen to the brewcasts though, the commentary is pretty amusing and they occasionally say something worth remembering.
