Delicious cider I put together last night.

12 oz crystal 10L
2 oz torrified wheat

Steep in gallon of water at 155 for 30 minutes.
Add 1lb amber DME and 1lb light DME and 1/4 oz challenger hops 6.3AA
Boil for 30 minutes
Wirfloc tab for last 10 minutes of boil.

Combine with 4 gallons apple juice in a carboy and pitch nottingham yeast.



I'll let you know how it turns out. Next experiment is gonna get 1 lb dark DME instead of the amber.

sounds good, I've thought about pulling the 3rd runnings off an abbey recipe and then adding canned apple juice concentrate to it. Let us know how this turns out.
