I believe De Koninck is filtered, pasturized, & bottle conditioned, is this correct? (that's what it says at ratebeer) If so the bottle conditioning yeast is probably a different strain from the brew yeast, does anyone have any information. I just emptied my first bottle of De Koninck and thought I'd propagate the yeast.

Did a search but didn't run across anything, may have missed it.

Thanks & Schlante,
Phillip

nothing... no one?

I went ahead with a simple low gravity starter, if I need to pour it out, so be it.

Schlante,
Phillip

It's probably not the primary strain, but that doesn't mean it's a bad strain. Give it a try, you never know. Just don't rely on the taste of your starter, rather try it on a small batch.
