I planted field grade hops this spring, that I got from Great Lakes Hops. My bines are starting to get long enough to start training. However, yesterday, I had a mowing incident. I had a piece of twine hanging out and I caught it with the mower and pulled my twine off of my stake. The result was that I severed the top few inches off one of my bines.

Will it recover or should I cut that one back and replace it with another? I have not trimmed any others yet because they are not all long enough to train yet. I am probably a bit behind most people on here due to being in Vermont and some initial planting shock that they have gotten over.

Thanks!

Once the top is clipped it will not grow in length. Just trim it back and let the others grow up.
