As the title says, I want to create a double IPA using CTZ and Simcoe hops. I have never used this combo, so I am looking for some suggestions for the hop schedule. Here's what I've come up with. All constructive input is appreciated.

Batch size 6 gallons, OG 1.082:
***************************************
10 lbs 2row
4.5 lbs Maris otter
.5 lbs Crystal 10L
2 lbs turbinado sugar
************************************
1 oz Simcoe FWH
2 oz CTZ 60 min
1 oz Simcoe 30 min
1 oz CTZ 30 min
.5 oz Simcoe 15 min
.5 oz CTZ 15 min
.5 oz Simcoe 5 min
.5 oz CTZ 5 min
1 oz Simcoe 30 min whirlpool
1 oz CTZ 30 min whirlpool
2 oz Simcoe dry hop 5 days
2 oz CTZ dry hop 5 days

Green Flash West Coast IPA is a prominent Columbus/Simcoe brew that you could use as a reference for flavor & go from there...

To me it looks like too many bittering additions. I don't know the exact aa's of your hops but plugging this into Beersmith I'm getting like 175 IBU's, that's leaving out any contribution from your whirlpool. I'd move a significant portion or your 60 and 30 min additions to later.

Looks good but I would reduce from 2oz at 30 min to less than 1 oz. Then I would double or even quadruple your quantity of 15 min and 5 min additions. With that high of an O.G. your bittering addition is definitely not too high. CTZ and Simcoe go very well together.

Thanks for all of the replies... I'll take all into consideration. I just wanted some opinions; keep 'em coming.

I agree with aking to bump up the 15 & 5 min additions and i would maybe even drop the 30. I do an IPA that's all Columbus and Simcoe and is always a hit and a favorite of mine.
