Crushing Specialty Grain without a Mill

Just about to brew the bourbon barrel porter from northern brewer. The directions call for me to crush the specialty grains before steeping them. A mill was not listed as one of the required pieces of equipment. What's my best option to crush the grains I have without having a mill?

I have used a rolling pin or a can of anything from the pantry.

+2 but first put the grains in a 1 gallon zip-lock bag

Spread them out too. You actually get a very nice crush with this method and when you are only crushing specialty grains, it works like a charm.
