Crowns vs field grade hop plug?

What is the difference. Which is a older plant ect

I just received an order of both from Great Lakes Hops. Crowns are older. They have a very robust root system. The field grades were nice, but they are definitely smaller and seemed to be a bit more fragile.

So what can I expect from the field grade compared to the crowns this season?

I'm not sure. This is my first year with these types of plants. I purchased rhizomes last year, which I had mixed results with.

I expect the crowns to be more vigorous, whereas the field grades should be busy establishing a nice root system this first year, but again, I'm new to this too.

I'd like to see what more experienced growing have to say.
