I'm looking into getting a grain mill. I brew three gallon (5-7 lbs.) batches once a month and the real spendy ones are overkill for my needs.
Anyone have any experience with the crop duster grain mill from AIH? Or the cereal killer?

I got a cheap knock off from Amazon and it works great. I think the only difference is going to be geared rollers vs. one free wheeling. I really recommend getting your own mill. The freedom to buy bulk base malts and control your crush is definitely worth the cost.

Which one?

Love my cereal killer grain mill from AIH...been running it two years and no complaints whatsoever!

I have the crop duster and I am happy with it. Works fine but I've only ran about 100 lbs of grain through it so far.

Another vote for cereal killer. I would highly suggest getting some compressed air to blow off the dust after each use. The roller that's not attached to the drill tends to get stuck if you don't clean it after each use. Nothing like having 20 lbs of grain in the hopper and the roller won't spin

I have a cereal killer from AIH and have run about 10 batches through so far. No issues to complain about though. I have a small paint brush that I picked up from Home Depot years ago that I use to clean out my coffee grinder every once in awhile. Use the same one to clean up the mill afterwards before I double bag it in contractor trash bags and store back up in the attic.

I have an old Captain Crush I would make you a great deal on. LOL I bought the Hullwrecker from Northern Brewer (Amazon) Look like the same mill, Steel Rollers are the key, The aluminum ones on my old one wouldn't grab the grain.
