This is my take on BYO's SN Bigfoot clone that they put out in their last magazine. I have changed the ABV/IBU's based on what SN has on their website. Also, I will be dry-hopping and adding 2 ounces of French Oak Cubes in the secondary for 2-3 months. If you have any questions/suggestions/comments, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
J

According to SN's website(copy & paste).......

alcohol content 9.6% by volume
yeast Ale Yeast
beginning gravity 23.0 Plato ending gravity 6.0 Plato
bittering hops Chinook
finishing hops Cascade & Centennial
dry hopping Cascade, Centennial & Chinook
bitterness units 90
malts Two-row Pale & English Caramel

....So your close, but not quite there, also there is no mention of oaking.

Yeah, I know it's a bit different, but I think a nice oakd Barley Wine would be good. Also, cascade and willamette is what I've got on hand, so they're an easy choice for dry-hopping/aroma. Yeah, I was in a rush b/c I need to put the order into austinhomebrewsupply.com early tomorrow morning so I can brew next weekend.

Thanks,
j
