both my wife and dad like cream ales and blondes. I told em I'd work on a killer recipe for them to enjoy.. After some pints at the lhbs, we found a recipe....trying to bridge the gap between what I like and what they like. They like less hops, but I'm tempted to do a dry hop w/ some amarillo flowers just to leave my mark. here's where I'm at:
6 gallon recipe:
6 gallons bottled water( I like Crystal Geiser the best...straight from the sierra nevadas)
6 lbs light malt extract(powder)
1/4lb Honey Malt
1/4 C15 Crystal Malt
1lb Pale Malt
2.5oz Cascade
.5oz Cascade(finish)
1 pack San Fran Lager Yeast
p.s cascade, amarillo & simcoe hops are my favorites and those are the ones I have bountiful supply of. I'm thinking this can be produced to make a 6% lager/ale clone. Anyone think I could push 6% w/ this?
