I am interested in making a nice Cream Ale. Any pointers to recipies would be appreciated.

I am also wondering if there might be a way to infuse the Cream Ale with a hint of Orange flavor for a sort of Orange Cream Beer soda.

Thanks
TC

Just going to chime in with a quote from brewing classic styles

A common mistake is associating cream ale with cream soda. The two have nothing to do with each other. Trying to make a sweet cream ale or adding vanilla to this beer is incorrect. A cream ale is similar to a mass-market, American-style lager, but it is made with ale yeast at cool temperatures.

+1 to the recipe above. I used 1056 ale yeast, and some noble hops I had on hand. This is a great beer. Easy to make, and you can even get rave reviews from BMC drinkers with it. (Not that it matters) Keg was dry in short order.

I like mine.

Note: I used S-05 instead of 1056.

Notes

Overshot my efficiency (83% instead of expected 75%), but overall makes a very well balanced ale. Was the party favorite for non-beer drinkers at Siler Oktoberfest 2008. From grain to glass in 10 days (kegged/forcecarbed).
