I See a counter flow chiller on Craigslist for $50. Should I buy it?

I have a copper immersion chiller. It gets the job done in about 15 minutes.

Is it a homemade cfc? Not that there's a problem with that mines homemade. U just want to be sure its water tight on the different fittings. Also do u have a pump? I have read of guys using cfcs without a pump but idk how well it works. A picture would really help.

No, I don't have a pump. And he said its homemade by from Bobby's design. Whatever that means. Will I need a pump?

I made mine from Bobby m's design and it works awesome. I myself feel like I need a pump for my chiller but some guys don't use them that's up to u and your research on weather or not u need a pump. If u are planing on expanding then yeah get a pump u will need one later. But if u don't foresee using a pump for anything other then a cfc look into doing it without a pump. Chopps

I gravity fed before using a pump and it works fine just a little slower.
