I just picked up two ball lock Corny kegs that both held pressure for $35 each. Both were very dirty but each only had a few small dents. That seemed like a decent price. Well I'm finding out that one was in worse shape than I had hoped.....oh well.
The first thing I noticed that one had a plastic dome style pressure relief valve and upon real close inspection found that it has a crack in the nut, so I'm replacing it with a KP115 Valve Assembly Replacement from the kegoutlet.com. Seem okay?
After taking apart the keg posts I noticed that one of the poppets is also broken. So I'd like to replace them both on that keg, but I'm confused about which to buy. The keg is pretty scratched up and is hard to read, but I can see stamped in it that it was made by the Cornelious Co, in the USA. Also says the words "New Chanmpion" on it with "A64" and the number "253419" stamped on it. The posts appear to like ones in the picture below and I "think" they say that they are Firestone kegs????
Does anyone know which poppets to buy? Its funny that such a cheap part has me stumped! Lastly the poppet is definitely broken and I'm surprised it held any pressure.
As always, your help is appreciated.
