I ordered 3 cornellius kegs from www.homebrewing.org and got them in the mail the other day... they all look to be in good shape for a used keg, no dents and just a few scratches... the thing that seemed odd is that one keg was pressurized, the other 2 werent... I dont have my fittings yet to hook my co2 up... but is this something that I should worry about...?? Thanks in advance...

Unless the kegs have been overhauled, I'd recommend replacing all of the o-rings. This reduces the chances of leaks and eliminates most sources of off-flavors. Cornies can hold pressure for months and then just fail. 90% of the time o-rings are at fault (there are five o-rings, the big one and two in each plug). Poppet failures are mostly due to crud. I've had one pressure valve fail, but that only required cleaning.

I've purchased all my kegs from them and have had some have pressure in; others not. But like David said, I'd always start with replacing the valves/poppets so you know where you stand on age of the seals.

good thing I ordered all new seals and poppets with the kegs... I just get paranoid sometimes... thanks again...

I emailed www.homebrewing.org about the kegs too.. jsut to see what they would say, since they gaurantee all there kegs are pressure tested... They said that the kegs loose pressure when they go from cold outside to hot inside... whatever... I am going to change all the seals and poppets and that should fix any problem if there is one...

Outside to inside does not equal 5 to 10 psi in a keg. If the kegs were sold re conditioned then get your replacements now for the flat ones.
